Metro ExpressLanes I-10 Closure between Peck Road and Valley Boulevard July 6 through late August 2015
July 6, 2015
WHAT: Caltrans is closing a portion of the I-10 Metro ExpressLanes
WHERE: I-10 Metro ExpressLanes in both the east and west directions for a half-mile section between Peck Road and Valley Boulevard
WHEN: July 6, 2015 through late August 2015
WHY: This closure is a necessary safety enhancement, which will remove and replace the bridge decking above Peck Road and Valley Boulevard
WHAT TO EXPECT: Motorists using the ExpressLanes may experience delays. Eastbound motorists traveling in the ExpressLanes will be merged into the general purpose lanes beginning at Santa Anita Avenue, impacting approximately 1.5 miles of the ExpressLanes. Westbound motorists will continue to have access to the ExpressLanes just west of the I-605 freeway, but will be required to merge into the general purpose lanes at Whistler Avenue, and then will have full access to the ExpressLanes just past Peck Road. Tolling for eastbound commuters will be reduced to reflect the shortened trip. Tolling for westbound commuters will not be impacted as the portion of the ExpressLanes closed to construction is not tolled.
