Toll Road Payment
Both the 91 Express Lanes and the Toll Roads accept FasTrak for payment. For the Toll Roads only, you can also use cash at toll booths along the routes. With FasTrak, tolls are automatically deducted from a prepaid account using an electronic transponder that is mounted on the inside of your vehicle’s windshield. You can establish a FasTrak account with a credit card or cash.

The 91 Express Lanes


The 91 Express Lanes is a 10-mile toll road built in the median of State Route 91 between the Orange and Riverside County line and State Route 55 (Costa Mesa Freeway).

Since 1995, the 91 Express Lanes, operated by OCTA, have carried more than 64 million vehicles, saving customers more than 32 million hours of commuting time. If you are traveling between Riverside and Orange counties you can take the 91 Express Lanes for a smooth, clear ride.

Payment
You can pay your toll with FasTrak on the 91 Express Lanes. Tolls cannot be paid manually. If you drive through the 91 Express Lanes without a FasTrak transponder, you may receive a violation notice. Each violation transaction is assessed a $47.50 processing fee in addition to the toll amount due.

Toll Rates
Tolls on the 91 Express Lanes are value priced to ensure a congestion-free trip. Tolls range from $1.25 to $4.25 traveling westbound, and up to $9.50 traveling eastbound.

Be sure to check the toll on message signs before entering the 91 Express Lanes. Toll schedules are subject to change without notice. Tolls vary to optimize traffic flows. Tolls are for one-way travel during the times and days shown.

The Toll Roads - State Routes 73, 241, 241/261/133

The Toll Roads are the largest toll road network in California, totaling 51 miles. The network comprises the San Joaquin Hills (73), Foothill (241) and Eastern (241/261/133) toll roads in Orange County. The Toll Roads are maintained by Caltrans as part of the state highway system.

Every weekday, 300,000 vehicles use the Toll Roads, significantly reducing local traffic and improving regional mobility.

You can pay your toll with FasTrak on The Toll Roads. You can also pay your toll with cash. There are staffed tollbooths and automatic coin machines on site for your convenience.

If you drive through a toll without a FasTrak transponder or stopping to pay, you may receive a violation notice. Each violation transaction is assessed a $47.50 processing fee in addition to the toll amount due.

Cash Payment
You can pay your toll with cash on the 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads. There are staffed tollbooths and automatic coin machines for your convenience.
